A Letter To Mother

May 7th, 1992

“Mom,

The greatest gift that God gave to me was you! You have been such a wonderful Mother and friend to me throughout my life. I’m so grateful to you for your love, support, and example. I always have such warm, wonderful feelings whenever I hear the word “Mother.” You have not only influenced my life, but that of my wife and children. I’m sure they will also influence, for the good, the next generation. Your gift of love goes on affecting generation after generation. A true miracle of how much good can be done by one courageous loving mother. Your great work far exceeds the acclaim of men towards women who may make history books for their scholastic accomplishments. The prophet was right when he said, “No greater work can be done than the work done within the confines of your own home.”

My Mother has now been deceased for over twenty years, but time has borne out the truth of this letter I penned over thirty years ago. There are millions of mothers who have walked the earth, whose influence is being felt generations later!

Happy Mother’s Day, Mom! Love always!- Me
